Mini-panther Sriracha and his tuxie sister Ghost Pepper arrived at the shelter as very, very scared and spicy kittens. They were all hisses and flat ears, but we knew that behind those fierce facades were babycats that had the potential to be trusting and affectionate kitties. Our volunteers worked with the siblings for weeks, first showing them that humans came bearing yummy food and treats. As they started to let their guards down, these babies learned that playing with the wand toys the humans had was super fun! Finally, they got used to the sensation of hands on them, and eventually realized that getting pets, scritches, and belly rubs felt really nice!
Now these little ones—while still a bit timid at first—play up a storm and purr with contact. Their next big step is finding a furever home together with gentle and patient guardians who will shepherd Sriracha and Ghost Pepper on the next stage of their journey: Becoming pampered and adored house cats!
Sriracha and Ghost Pepper are part of a group of two kittens. Since they are both under six months, our kitten adoption policy applies and they must be adopted together.
