Meet Kona, the sweetest 5-year-old pup you’ll ever encounter! Kona is an AMAZING and affectionate companion who will steal your heart in an instant.
Kona was initially shy when she first arrived at the shelter, but she’s settled in quite nicely in the foster home. Recovered from her spay and respiratory infection and her full personality is shining through. According to her foster mom, Kona is an absolute gem and a bit of a unicorn among dogs.
All of her great qualities are:
- Doesn't pull on a leash and isn't reactive to other dogs, people or bikes on walks
- Gets along great with dogs (large and small)
- Modifies play for my 17 pound resident dog
- Great with kids- has been petted and gently taken treats from a four and six year old
- Very gentle, affectionate, sweet and relaxed
- Has been left alone for four hours
- Minor potty accidents the first day with me, but seems to be potty trained
- Has a pep in her step and can walk for 1 mile+
- Isn't really a barker
- Knows sit and stay
Kona would thrive with someone who works from home or has to go into the office a few days a week. She can be vocal initially when left alone but does settle down. She would love to continue her positive reinforcement training and confidence building.
