PetFix is still issuing vouchers for spay/neuter appointments at Fix Our Ferals in Richmond. If you have an emergency situation requiring an urgent spay/neuter, please let our veterinary partners know when you call to book your appointment.
Friends of Oakland Animal Services offers free spay and neuter services to dogs and cats of Oakland residents. Through our spay and neuter clinics and voucher program, we aim to ensure that financial need is not a barrier for Oakland residents seeking spay and neuter surgeries for their animals.
Why Spay and Neuter?
Spaying and neutering prevent many behaviors and health problems for your animal. It reduces overpopulation and euthanizing unwanted dogs and cats in Oakland.
FOAS Monthly Spay and Neuter Events in Oakland
We are currently offering appointment-based spay/neuter events. Please complete the request form, or call to inquire about appointment availability. These free events are for dogs and cats and include microchipping and routine vaccines as needed.
Please note: we are no longer offering first-come, first-served events in Oakland.
FOAS Free Voucher Program
Please sign up for FOAS community voucher or inquire about one of our appointment-based events. If you cannot make an upcoming clinic, FOAS can provide Oakland residents with free vouchers for spay and neuter, microchipping, and routine vaccines at the Fix Our Ferals clinic in Richmond. Vouchers are available on a limited monthly basis and are not transferable. Please complete a PetFix inquiry form to request a voucher.
