Times are tuff! Sometimes bad things happen to really great dogs. The recent housing crisis means some families are being forced to give up their lovely dogs – many of them pit bulls.
To help this new influx of out-of-luck dogs, Oakland Animal Services, in cooperation with BAD RAP, is eliminating the adoption fee of pit bulls and pit bull mixes for the months of November and December!
To be eligible for the $1 promotion, adopters must:
1. Fill out a questionnaire
2. Attend an orientation (see below)
3. Agree to a Home Visit
4. Attend one training class
5. Get their “coupon” signed off / approved
ORIENTATIONS will be held at OAS Every Thursday evening in November / December from 6:30-8pm. RSVP at OAS or contact@badrap.org. Volunteers are welcome to attend to learn more about owning a pit bull.
