Rancho Raccoon, a project of Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue, a non-profit is dedicated to helping orphaned, sick, and injured raccoons from Oakland, Piedmont, Montclair, Berkeley and Alameda. They are the ones that help the raccoons that our Animal Control Officers rescue in the field. We appreciate all of the hard work they do. The story of Tiny Tim, a baby raccoon who was found unable to use his back legs, is a wonderful example of their dedication to these animals. Rancho Raccoon was able to find a veterinarian who is willing to perform spinal surgery on Tiny Tim and then their fosters will provide him with additional care and physical therapy in hopes that he will fully recover. Consider visiting their website and maybe even make a contribution to their work.
