When a tree in your backyard hands you lemons, make lemonade to help shelter animals.
Well, that’s not exactly how the saying goes, but two enterprising and animal-loving kids did just that. They made fresh lemonade to sell in front of their house and earned $54.80 in just 45 minutes, all of which they donated to Friends of Oakland Animal Services (FOAS).
This was not their first foray into charitable giving, either. Last year, the siblings donated their allowances to FOAS. And as a Christmas gift for their teacher (an OAS volunteer), they gave to FOAS and presented her with the donation card.
We are so touched. And we want to acknowledge their parents for instilling these values in them. We can’t wait to see how these animal ambassadors will grow up to change the world with their gumption and compassion.
Thank you for your generosity and love for animals.
