OAS is proud of its animal advocates for March: Animal Control Officers Paula Pereira and Leo Ayala.
Paula Pereira has been working at OAS for seven years. She started as an intern at age 15 and later became a volunteer before she joined the staff. Her favorite part about working at OAS is all the different types of things she learns. She has a cat named Bicho that she adopted from OAS.
Leo Ayala has been at OAS for five years. His favorite part of working at OAS is the people he meets, the staff, and the volunteers. Leo has been involved in a variety of cases at OAS, from rescuing an opossum to saving a severely injured dog:
