OAS is hiring a part-time Animal Care Attendant
Do you love working with people and animals? Are you passionate about animal welfare? The City of Oakland is currently recruiting to fill one part-time Animal Care Attendant vacancy at Oakland Animal Services. If you’d like to share your talents with a city that will value your contributions, Oakland welcomes you.
The ideal candidate will have some experience caring for or handling animals at an animal shelter, boarding kennel, or veterinary hospital environment.
The Animal Care Attendant performs cleaning and disinfecting of kennels, wards, cages, equipment and other areas of the shelter facility and performs duties related to maintenance and animal care at the animal shelter. The Animal Care Attendant handles a wide variety of animals in various stages of health and temperament, monitors animals for signs of illness or unusual behavior.
