Though Cricket and Beetle weren't born to the same mama, they have been raised in the same foster home and are soul sisters through and through! Beetle is about 2 months old, Cricket about 3 months old.
As a bonded pair, we will only adopt them together.
Medical disclosure for Beetle: The cat you are adopting has an abnormal spine. This is likely due to a congenital abnormality (something present before birth) or trauma that occurred shortly after birth that has since healed. This results in an abnormal gait where the cat appears to be "bunny hopping". This cat is not in pain. She was in a foster home for a month and has done very well. We have not seen any abnormalities with urination and defecation and the cat uses the litterbox. While doing well now, there may be long term abnormalities that arise in the future. We cannot predict if this will happen or what this may be, but an example would be the development of arthritis. If there are any concerns in the future or significant lameness occurs, an exam by your veterinarian should be scheduled to evaluate.
This pet should have a general health exam with a veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption. Your veterinarian can make further medical recommendations for testing and medical treatment if needed.
