Meet Gwyn, the petite husky with soul-piercing eyes and a playful spirit!
This charming pup loves teasing her hooman friends for a game of chase but also adores warm cuddles and snuggles. Gwyn is a social butterfly and enjoys frolicking with other friendly dogs at the shelter. Positive-reinforcement training and regular exercise are her jam, and she's eager to continue them with her forever hooman.
Gwyn was in foster for a few weeks and this is the report we received:
About a month ago, I fostered her when she was new to the shelter. Gwyn touched my heart from the start.
- she was so smart that she potty trained by the fifth day. (She may have been potty trained before and just needed a refresher)
- she mastered undistracted sit and wait for okay signal for her kibble
- she was doing well with crate training when enticed with toys and treats
- she was really non destructive-only took my shoes twice but she was easily distracted with a toy
- never resource guarded her treats or food
- she waited for me to wake up and when she noticed that I did, she would immediately come over to lick my face and get head scratches (the very best way ever to wake up IMO)
Although Gwyn is incredibly sweet and sensitive, wanting cuddles or naps on cool tile floors, as a young dog, she also would get very excited and start jumping and mouthing at times.
As a young pup, Gwyn sometimes gets excited and may jump up on people and express her feelings with her mouth. For this reason, she might do best in a home without young children. Gwyn is feeling stressed in the shelter, Gwyn would love nothing more than to go home with you and decompress from shelter life!
Are you ready to be Gwyn's forever hooman? Let's embark on a lifetime of love and adventure together!
