Eevee has been a wonderful houseguest and playmate this past week!
Initially, Eevee was a little timid and unsure about how to play with both humans and other pups, but with some coaxing, she has relaxed and found her groove. What was at first a little too bitey, her chomper control has regulated - instead of full-mouth chomps, she now gives the gentlest little nibbles. She clearly understands the importance of being considerate, while wanting to explore her world through her senses.
Her temperament is alert, but not to a fault. Observant, accommodating, interested, but not nosey. She is learning her boundaries, and feeling out what is safe. She likes to stay close but happily plops down on the floor while you eat dinner.
Eevee’s house training journey is progressing full-sail - only a couple accidents inside this week. She is learning the after-meal-outside-pee well. She jumps into the crate for meals but doesn’t spend much time there otherwise.
If puppy intelligence develops on a logarithmic trajectory, she is currently on the up-swing of the curve. A wonderful time to establish and make a connection with her future adopter. She enjoys the company of other dogs. She loves playing with our young dog and is very respectful of our older dog, but her passion is to serve and work with humans, we thinks.
