Bristol started off a bit shy when he first arrived at the shelter, but with TLC in foster and some quality playtime with his doggy pals, he's blossomed into a delightful companion.
This sweet pup has made quite a few public appearances at PupUp events, where he snuggled with volunteers and won the hearts of new human friends. His endearing "worried-face" only adds to his charm, but we're sure a forever home will bring out new expressions in this cute Bristol!
Here is a glowing report from the foster mom:
“I recently took him with me to a backyard gardening job. There were loud construction noises and he was not bothered at all and kept napping. Was by my side the whole time and would nap next to me when standing in one spot for a while. His recall is excellent! Here's more about Bristol:
- Loves to cuddle
- People friendly
- Co-exists with my resident dog
- Pulls towards dogs on the street but over all friendly don’t notice any indication of reactivity
- Working on “sit” knows “drop it” after bringing ball for fetch
- Loves toys especially balls and rope toys
- Independent will play with toys on his own
- Working on crate training, cries at first but has been left alone for 3 hrs with tasty snacks and toys and eventually settles down
- Loves to nap when at home will happily nap with you or play with toys on his own
- Overall calm demeanor in the house can get hyped if you entice him with play
- Working on being less jumpy and mouthy but does not break skin
- Takes treats gently
- Treat AND toy motivated! Would be great to get into a basic training class he would catch on quick with tranining
- Sleeps through the night
- Working on house training (has only had 2 accidents in 4 days)!”
Bristol is about 1.5 years old and weighs under 40 Ibs!!!
