Meet Otter: A Bundle of Love Ready for Adoption!
Hello there, potential fur-ever family! My name is Otter, and I'm a charming 6-month-old black & white puppy eagerly searching for my forever home. With my sleek black coat and adorable puppy eyes, I'm here to steal your heart and fill your life with joy.
About Me: I may be small (currently 36 lbs), but my heart is big, and I come with a ton of love to share. I'm already learning how to 'sit, especially when there are treats involved – you won't be able to resist my polite and adorable demeanor (I'll come sit on our foot, if you need a foot warmer)! Treats are my absolute favorite, and I'm always up for a tasty snack.
Personality: I'm not just a pretty face; I'm a true cuddle enthusiast. Picture this: a cozy evening on the couch, you and me, cuddled up together as I shower you with kisses. Yes, I'm a little love bug! I find my way into laps with an uncanny ability, and my warm, affectionate nature will make you wonder how you ever lived without me.
Training and Manners: I'm really good at sitting on command - especially if food is involved. I'm also already really good at loose leash walking but there's so many fun smells out there, I can get a little distracted on walks. But hey, I'm a quick learner and ready to impress you with more tricks and good behavior. With a patient and loving family, I know I can become the well-mannered pup you've always dreamed of.
House & Crate Training: I am mostly a quiet and easy going houseguest according to my foster pawrents. I usually go potty outside but every once in a while, if its cold or rainy, I don't want to go out! But if you can help me by going outside with me or letting me out regularly, I can get the hang of it.
Dog Socialization: I've loved getting to meet and play with other dogs at the shelter; and I am in foster with 2 older dogs. They aren't crazy about playing with me but I understand. I can relax with the best of them but I think I'd love to have the right dog sibling or at least some great dog friends that I can have playdates with!
Work in Progress: I am learning not to chew on non-toys (cardboard boxes and shoes are my current obsession) and also working on fore-mentioned potty training... but give me some time to master these things!
Ideal Home: I'm searching for a family that can provide me with the love and attention I crave. A household that appreciates my playful antics, enjoys a regular cuddle session, and understands the importance of positive reinforcement in training. Whether you're a seasoned dog owner or a first-timer, I'm confident we can create a special bond together.
