Luther

Meet Luther, the lovable senior gentleman who exudes warmth and charm at every turn! At 7 years young, Luther is the epitome of sweetness, making him the wonderful companion for anyone seeking a loyal and affectionate friend.  If you’re looking for someone to be by your side as you go about your day, Luther is your guy!   

Things to know about Luther. 

• He's friendly. He enjoys playing with people of all ages, including children. 
• Housebroken. He has been left for up to 10 hours free roaming or in a large x pen while his foster goes to work. 
• Wicked smart! He knows commands like sit, down, no, shake, high five. He knows “come” & “wait” indoors when there aren’t distractions. 
• He loves to eat and get treats! He especially enjoys large bones and indestructible chew toys. 
• He believes every Amazon package has treats or toys for him. As a matter of fact with Luther you don’t need a doorbell as he is more than happy to let you know when packages or the mail arrive, and like a doorbell, quiets down once the delivery person has left. 
• Plenty of energy but can chill. He loves chasing tennis balls or squeaky toys as well as laying in the sun or cuddling with you. 
• Expressive. He can be vocal and excited around other dogs on leash and loud noises like motorcycles while on walks. He is more easily redirected away from smaller dogs than larger dogs.  With some patience and training, Luther's leash manners will only continue to improve. He likes going in the car and finds it very exciting and stimulating leading him to express himself vocally in the car. He is a husky mix after all!

Luther would do well with a family with a large backyard to romp around in and people to dote on in a quiet neighborhood. He might do well with another gentle and independent dog but is more than content to be your only best friend. And likely no for the feline persuasion,
