Meet Mateo, the 54-pound bundle of joy who's ready to bring his vibrant energy and love into your home! This 1-year-old Shepherd and Kelpie mix is full of personality and always up for an adventure—whether it's running in the yard, exploring new places, or playing with toys (he LOVES toys, especially ones he can chew!).
Mateo was in a short-term foster home and we learned so much! He showed just how sweet and affectionate he is. He’s a total lap dog at heart and loved cuddling up for kisses and belly rubs. He followed his foster family around the house, eager to be part of the action. Although he didn't quite get the hang of potty training yet, Mateo is overall a quick learner—he started on crate training and was also doing great with leash walks (he does get a bit excited when he sees other dogs).
Mateo has plenty of energy to burn, so he’ll thrive in an active home where he can get daily playtime, walks, and mental stimulation. He’s also food-motivated, which will make training a breeze! While he’s still learning some social cues with other dogs and adjusting to new environments, Mateo is eager to please and ready to learn. With other dogs, Mateo loves to chase, wrestle, and engage in spirited play.
If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and active companion to bring some joy into your life, Mateo is a great match! He’s ready for a home that can keep up with his playful spirit and give him all the love he craves.
