King Charles

Bow down to the King! Meet King Charles, a 7-year-old American House Hippo x Couch Potato mix with a royal heart full of love. Weighing in at 77 lbs, this gentle giant is truly a king among dogs—affectionate, vocal, and always eager for attention.

Recently, King Charles went on a royal field trip with our volunteers and the verdict? He’s amazing in the car and a true gentleman on the leash. He’s a bit of a talker, loves taking treats gently, and in his previous kingdom, he lived peacefully with kids. 

Here’s a bit more about this great guy:

• Zero accidents; potty trained. 
• Sleeps in his crate at night. He’s a little fussy if he’s not 100% tired, but eventually falls asleep. 
• Amazing loose leash walking skills!
• Loves humans.
• He has a playful and goofy personality.
• Likes to go for walks and explore.
• Pretty good in car once he settles in. 

King Charles is looking for a new castle where he can enjoy some basic obedience training and receive the care he needs for his ears (he’s currently dealing with an ear infection).
