This sweet 6-year-old Chi/Terrier mix is a gentle soul with a playful heart, ready to find a loving family. Abbott started out a little unsure at the shelter, but in foster care, he’s truly blossomed—cuddly, curious, and learning new things every day!
Abbott is a total lovebug who enjoys belly rubs, cozy blankets, and quietly following his people around the house. Though shy at first, Abbott warms up with a little time and becomes your biggest fan, full of kisses and tail wags.
He enjoys games like hide-and-seek and puzzle toys, and he’s discovered how fun neighborhood walks can be (squirrel watching is a favorite pastime!). Abbott’s treat-motivated, eager to please, and even likes having his paws cleaned—how charming is that? He’s potty-trained, sleeps through the night, and enjoys a calm, predictable routine.
Abbott is happiest around other small, confident dogs and would thrive in an adult-only home with a canine buddy to help show him the ropes. He's currently working through some separation anxiety, so he’s looking for a patient adopter who can help him build confidence when home alone.
