Meet Booper, the sweet and gentle 46-pound lovebug who’s ready to find a loving home! Around 1-3 years old, Booper came in as a stray and started off a little nervous at the shelter. Booper is a bit shy in new situations, but he warms up quickly and is such a fun dog.
He is playful and affectionate and loves to be with people. He's also very easygoing with other dogs. In fact, he's gentle and friendly with them, making him a great match for a multi-dog home or as a solo dog with appropriately matched dog friends.
On field trips, Booper showed his curiosity and friendly nature, even when encountering new sights and sounds. He’s a calm and easy companion who is ready for a patient family that can continue to build his confidence. Booper walks nicely on the leash, doesn’t react to passing dogs, and is gentle taking treats. Though he’s not yet familiar with basic commands, he responds well to positive reinforcement and loves to hear "Good boy!"
