Viva is a gorgeous, vivacious 4-year-old shepherd mix weighing in at 70 pounds. She’s full of joy, with a playful spirit that shines through.
Viva enjoys the occasional pets and scritches, but her true love is squeaky tennis balls—fetching them and rolling around in the grass. She’s working on her basic manners and is already getting the hang of "sit," "down," and "touch." She takes treats gently, and loves snuffling them out in the grass for fun “find-its.” On walks, she’s good at staying calm and focused, and ignoring barky dogs—she’s on track to be a loose-leash pro with continued training.
Viva has been independent when meeting other dogs at the shelter. She enjoys her space and could get along with those who respect her boundaries. She’s a great fit for a home with well-matched dog companions or as the only dog in the household.
