Meet Tarzan! This sweet, sensitive 7-month-old, 45-pound husky mix is a young explorer seeking adventure buddies.
After spending time in foster, Tarzan showed what a fantastic companion he can be. He went on hikes, explored the outdoors, and practiced being part of a home routine. He got along well with the smaller resident dog, showing respect for her space and adjusting his energy when she needed a break. When he wasn't playing or snuggling up for ear scratches, Tarzan was eager to learn—he knows “sit” and is working on “down,” especially after watching his dog friend do the same!
Tarzan’s foster noted he settled well when left alone for short periods of time. Like many young pups, leash manners and potty training are works in progress—he gets so excited at the prospect of walks! A quick outdoor potty break before heading out helps. He’s also shown some resource guarding behaviors, particularly around high-value items like food bowls and toys. A home with experienced adopters and no small children is ideal.
With continued training, structure, and love, Tarzan has so much potential to blossom. If you’re looking for a gentle, wiggly pup to grow and learn with, Tarzan might be the one!
