Meet Miss Piglet! This gentle 9-month-old, 40-pound pup is learning that the world isn’t so scary. While she was initially overwhelmed in the shelter, Miss Piglet has been making progress and is slowly adjusting to her new surroundings. She can still be fearful at times and will need time to decompress, but she’s trying her best to be brave.
Recently, Miss Piglet started attending daily playgroups and is beginning to come out of her shell. She's showing respectful engagement with other dogs, enjoying chase games, and even getting a little bouncy and playful at times. We think she could do well in a home with appropriately matched canine companions—or she could be placed as a solo dog with some friendly dog pals to visit.
Miss Piglet would thrive in a calm, adult-only home with experienced adopters who understand the importance of patience and encouragement. Positive reinforcement-based training will be essential in helping her build confidence and trust.
