Meet Pepe – our extra-large loaf of love with a face full of wrinkles and a heart full of chill.
At 150 lbs of pure Neapolitan Mastiff charm, Pepe is a mellow, brindle boy who takes life at his own pace—slow, steady, and preferably with a soft patch of grass nearby for lounging. He’s 3 years old, low energy, and carries himself like a dignified (but goofy) gentleman.
Pepe recently had surgery for cherry eye and is recovering well, but he’ll need some follow-up care with a vet after adoption. He’s head shy and flinches a little with fast movements—possibly from discomfort or past experiences—so he appreciates a gentle, respectful approach.
While Pepe is a calm dude, he’s strong, and he knows it. He is working on his leash manners, so his future adopters will need the strength and experience to handle his size. That said, he’s non-reactive around other dogs and has shown relaxed, independent behavior in playgroups. Think “laid-back tank.”
If you’ve got space in your home and heart for an XL snuggle buddy with serious couch potato potential, Pepe might just be your match.
