Meet Stella! She has been a fabulous houseguest for her foster family and they report that she's been friendly and fun to have around. She takes treats gently, enjoys playing with toys, and does a snappy "sit!" when asked. She's interested in meeting new friend and approaches people with a wagging tail.
She has been walking nicely on leash with them with some pulling, she is eager to get moving to explore everything. She is a great jogging buddy and does better with loose leash walking after getting some of her energy out. She may be able to live with another well matched dog, she seems to prefer more gentle and independent dog friends.
A little bit about Stella from the foster family:
- House trained (can be left alone for hours)
- Loves all humans of all ages; super affectionate and loves to give kisses
- Knows sit and down
- Very calm, quiet, at home but will bark if she hears other dogs bark outside our apartment door
- We haven’t tried crate training but she sleeps through the night on the couch in our living room
- She loves going on car rides!
- She tends to be leash reactive and barks at other dogs. It is best if she is in a household without other dogs or cats. On walks she will try to chase squirrels, cats and birds.
- She's a great running companion if you are a runner!
- She loves hikes!
- She loves to fetch and is super speedy!
- She loves to play with toys and balls
- She does well with kids and even babies!
Stella is around 7 years old and 60 pounds.
