Introducing the delightful Mimi, a foster favorite who has stolen everyone’s hearts! Our first-time fosters mentioned that they have a great experience with Mimi so far! And, couldn't have been better, thanks to Mimi's sweet and gentle nature. Here's why she's an absolute joy to have around according to the fosters:
House trained and a well-behaved lady indoors.
Mimi adores humans of all ages and showers them with affection. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite!
A true foodie, Mimi will happily do tricks and obey commands in exchange for tasty treats.
Mimi's calm and serene demeanor makes her the perfect work-from-home companion. She happily snoozes most of the day, providing a peaceful and comforting presence.
Mimi walks well on a leash, although she prefers shorter strolls. She's a bit cautious around cars and busy streets in our neighborhood.
While Mimi handles car rides well, she's not fond of the process of getting into the car. As she weighs a sturdy 96lbs, lifting her in requires a little extra effort.
Mimi met a few social and polite dogs at the shelter and she was not feeling very social and was uncomfortable but we have a feeling it was the environment. Mimi hadn’t met Other dogs in foster but we will report back soon!
While Mimi hasn't been officially tested with cats, she has shown no particular interest in the neighbor's feline companion.
We received another update!!
- Mimi lives with a cat - they don’t hang out, but she doesn’t try to get him, either.
- She prefers to be an only dog, but isn’t super dog aggressive, either.
- She likes shorter hikes. She slows down about 2.5 miles and she’s noticeably tired by 3 miles.
- She doesn’t want to jump up onto anything - she won’t jump into bed with you even if you encourage her.
- She climbs up into shorter cars no problem, but if she would have to jump, she needs to be lifted
Mimi's time with the fosters have been an absolute delight, and we believe she'll bring immeasurable happiness to her furever home. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this gentle and affectionate soul, get in touch with us today. Let's make Mimi's journey from foster to furever a reality!
