This 2-year-old, 41-pound bundle of fun was having quite an adventure on the streets of Oakland before being scooped up by a kind stranger—who’s now her foster! Since then, Piper has been soaking up the good life in a home with three much larger doggy roommates, proving she’s as playful as she is adaptable.
Piper is a smart, spunky, and affectionate girl who loves playing just as much as she loves snuggling up with her humans. She’s always ready for a game of chase or a romp in the yard, but when bedtime rolls around, she sprints to her crate and sleeps soundly all night long. She’s already mastered “sit” and “paw,” walks great on a leash, and is eager to learn more!
She enjoys doggie playtime but likes to set her own boundaries, so a home with well-matched dog friends—or as a solo pup with doggy playdates—would be ideal. She’s working on sharing her food and favorite toys, so mealtime should be in her own space, and she’d do best in a home without young kids.
Piper is a great mix of fun, feisty, and affectionate. She adores car rides, hikes, belly rubs, and sunbathing. If you’re looking for a playful, active, and loyal companion, Piper can’t wait to meet you! Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.
