At 14 years young and 17 pounds of pure charm, Jax is a distinguished terrier mix with a heart as big as his adorable ears. This frosty-faced gentleman had a tough time adjusting at the shelter, but he's blossomed into a sweet, soulful companion in his foster home.
Jax is a quiet, low-maintenance guy who enjoys life’s simple pleasures—sunny spots for naps, gentle pets (he’ll nuzzle your hand to ask for more!), tasty snacks, and peaceful strolls around the neighborhood. Don’t let his age fool you—he’s still got pep in his step and walks like a true gentleman on leash!
He’s fully house trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and even has a polite “boof” to let you know when it’s potty time. Jax would do best in a calm, adult-only home or one with respectful, dog-savvy kids (12+) and could happily share space with another mellow pup.
Jax has had a few medical bumps—he's got a heart murmur and had a testicular tumor removed, and he’s managing some dental issues—but his sweet spirit shines through. All he asks is for patience, a soft place to land, and a human to call his own.
If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a signature mohawk and a heart full of love, Jax is ready to meet you! Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.
