At 5.5 years old and about 90 pounds, Huey is a big, soulful shepherd mix who’s had his world turned upside down. Right now, he’s a little lost — unsure why he’s here, quietly searching for the familiar in an unfamiliar place.

Despite the stress of the shelter, Huey’s gentle spirit shines through. He’s calm, independent, and polite with other dogs, preferring peaceful moments over chaos. He walks well on leash, accepts handling sweetly, and is just waiting for someone to show him that it’s safe to trust again.
