Norbert is a 3-year-old, 68-pound lab mix with a love for tennis balls and a talent for catching treats mid-air like a champ. He’s gentle and bonds quickly, leaning in for affection and soaking up all the butt scritches you’re willing to give.
This good boy enjoys long, sniffy walks and does beautifully on leash in calm areas. He knows sit and paw, takes treats gently, and absolutely loves playing fetch. He’s also reportedly housetrained!
On a recent field trip, he initially handled new environments well—jumping into the car, walking on city streets, even visiting a post office and vet clinic. He was polite around people, unbothered by bikes, and passed other dogs calmly. But after his long shelter stay, he got overstimulated in a busy park, especially when squirrels were around.
With a time to decompress in a quiet home, we know Norbert’s best self will shine through more consistently. A patient, experienced adopter will be key to helping him thrive.
