Samantha

Hi, I’m Samantha! I’m a 4-year-old, 77-pound gentle girl with a big heart. I may be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a little time and patience, and I’ll be leaning in for pets and soaking up all the love. 

I absolutely adore people and getting pets. I’ll sit and wait patiently just for a few kind scratches. I’m especially fond of my foster family's teenage kids and their friends. I’m housebroken, quiet in my crate, and I’ve discovered that fetch in the yard is really fun (yes, I bring the ball back!). I love being a couch potato, but walks are also really fun  –  I’m fantastic on leash!

I get along well with small dogs and calm, respectful larger dogs, but I’m more into hanging out with people than playing with other pups. I’m living with a couple of dog-savvy cats right now, and while I’m occasionally tempted to chase the “spooky” one, I’m easily redirected and learning quickly.
