Wally is a sweet, young 51-pound pup slowly adjusting to the shelter after coming in as a stray. He’s sensitive, but once he’s comfortable, he scoots along with a wiggly body and a wagging tail.
On a recent field trip, Wally showed he’s learning to trust new environments. He was a bit nervous in the car, but once settled, he enjoyed just hanging out and soaking up love. He didn’t want to stray too far during the walk, but he lit up when people or dogs passed by, tail wagging and eager to say hello. Wally is the kind of dog who doesn't need constant action—he’s happy to sit by your side, enjoy some quiet company, and take in the world with you.
Wally will do best in a calm, patient home. In shelter playgroups, he’s gentle and shows friendly interest in others. He might do especially well in a home with another dog who can be his role model and help him gain confidence.
